Deep Tissue Massage is used to prevent pain and injury by realigning deeper layers of muscle. This massage technique is also used for certain types of pain and chronic muscle tension. Deep Tissue massage uses many of the same massage movements as Swedish Massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots. The session will provide immediate pain relief by bringing blood flow to an area that needs it.
